This Privacy Policy explains how Lasting Memories Weddings & Events ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects personal data you provide through this website. We are the "data controller" for the purposes of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

- Identity data: first name, last name.
- Contact data: email address, phone number.
- Enquiry data: wedding date, venue name, church or civil service venue, and the content of any message you send us.
- Technical data: limited information your browser sends when you visit the site (e.g. IP address, browser type) as well as any cookies you consent to (see our Cookie Policy).
3. How we use your data and our lawful basis
- To respond to your enquiry — lawful basis: your consent when you submit the contact form, and our legitimate interest in replying to enquiries about our services.
- To provide our services if you go on to engage us — lawful basis: performance of a contract.
- To comply with legal obligations (e.g. accounting, tax) — lawful basis: legal obligation.
- To keep the website secure and functioning — lawful basis: legitimate interest.
We do not use your data for automated decision making or profiling, and we do not sell your data.
4. How long we keep your data
Enquiry data is kept for up to 24 months from your last contact with us, after which it is deleted unless you become a client. Client records are kept for 7 years after the end of our engagement to meet UK tax and accounting requirements.
5. Sharing your data
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We may share it with carefully selected processors who help us run our business (for example, our email provider). Any such processors act on our instructions under a written agreement. We may also disclose data where required by law.
6. International transfers
